I am able to witness a qualitative change in the contour and contents of higher educational aspects of Periyar Arts College, Cuddalore. There is both horizontal and vertical growth in Periyar Arts College. In the field of research, our growth is astonishing because the result of research has benefited our society at large. We feel proud in serving the socially disadvantaged group, so that they can have more social mobility.
As per the Saying of Swami Vivekananda, many youths who are trained as good citizens can have potentialities to change the society and involve in nation-building exercise. To create the passion to serve humanity and to protect the basic rights of mankind, our students are well-trained through extra-curricular activities. We have developed the rationalist thought of Periyar, national spirit of Bharat, love for all living things of Vallalar and the vision of Dr.B.R.Ambedkar in providing equality among all sections of the society. There is a long way to go before we sleep. I make a humble appeal to my fraternity, students and public to unite together in cherishing the ideals of Pandit Nehru, Mahatma Gandhi, Thilak, Kamaraj and other national leaders in seeing Unity in Diversity.
We have the vision of attaining autonomy status and would feel proud to see Periyar Arts College as a University in the days to come.
Hold up your face high so that you are a faculty and student of this great institution. We are not far away in bringing international reputation and in metamorphosing into a centre for excellence.
